Guinevere Hempstead's Life Goals

  • One of my biggest goals to achieve in the next five years is to take my daughter and her cousin to either Disneyland or Disney World, or better yet both! It has to be in the next five years while they are both young enough to really "experience the magic." After that, my daughter will be ten and her cousin will be thirteen and then we will probably have to go a second time, lol, but the "magic" may have rubbed off a bit by then. Pixie dust works best when fresh. ;-) I just really want to take them while they are really little still. Actually I'd like to live near enough to one that I could take them often. There are also several smaller places, locally and nearby, like children's museums, animal places, etc, that I want to take my daughter and her cousin soon!

  • My daughter has the goal of owning a horse someday and I suppose another for me! My goal is to live in our own place by then, perhaps out in the country a bit like we are now, with room for horse rides in the woods when we want to, but with a city close by. She also wants to have a pet dog, a pet cat or two, and pet fish. ;-)

  • My main goal is to find continuous and various forms of enjoyable employment working in filmmaking, photography, poetry, songwriting, new age book writing, fiction book writing perhaps, singing music and installing computers that earn me at least a few thousand a month and that are creative, thought-provoking, interesting and mentally challenging, that engage my mind and involve using my skills of visualizing, thinking, multi-tasking, "outside of the box" thinking and dreaming, as well as my more practical skills.

  • I have wanted to direct films for a long time now. To have total creative control over the entire process that is making a movie would be so wonderful. But I'm sure it would also be stressful, and I psych myself out just thinking of wether I could handle the stress and juggling all the different aspects of a film or not. So, I haven't really tried that hard or believed in myself that much to really go after this dream of mine. Publishing this dream online is the most work I've done in the direction of accomplishing it. I am willing to start small, doing extra and PA work but not much has come my way out in SD. I tried acting and I'm just not the type of person that can do that well. But to be the driving force behind the actors, camera people, sound, props, costumes, everyone; To be the one that lays the groundwork for everyone else to follow so the story is told the way I think is right - now, that is a job I feel I could do and maybe have fun doing it too!

  • There are several films I would love to get a chance to make that are locked away in my brain, yearning to be set free upon that medium. Some examples of those films that immediately come to mind, and that most who read this would instantly recognize, would be a correctly told version of "The Vampire Lestat" and then "Queen of the Damned" also redone, and done right, with the twins and all! Then I would do a correctly done version of the classic novel, "Stranger In A Strange Land." I'd also get a real kick out of getting to direct a few episodes of "Doctor Who." That would be just fantastic! I'm sure by the time I got those done, I would have a few more that I absolutely had to do. But usually you have to start small and work your way up to the bigger budget projects with the big stories and bigger names, while hoping the stories you wanted to tell weren't going to get done badly while you were struggling to get to a point that you could get to make them! I wish though that I could somehow do things in reverse, if I could be a movie director. And after I learned the appallingly low number of women compared to men directing movies today I became even more determined to be a film director. I want to help do my part to set the record straight - that women CAN make good directors and can make worthwhile movies.

  • I have a crazy dream of someday owning and living in my very own castle. There are many buyable castles in my own country alone, that if I had the money, I could actually achieve this dream. If I was that financially well-off, I would also probably finally get to build the "dream home" I designed when I was around twelve, which is heavily influenced by Frank Lloyd Wright, perhaps with a little Walt Disney thrown in. That would be so much fun to live in both such houses! ;-)

  • I've been dreaming for awhile now of publishing a book of my own poetry, perhaps intermingled with some of my photography like Viggo Mortensen does. I would really like for this to happen, even if it never makes me money, within the next couple years. Now, I just need to find a publisher who likes my stuff and wants to publish what I have to offer! I have also been contemplating writing my own new-agey, reality-creation book, since I have been studying this kind of stuff, mostly on my own for the last twenty or so years. I might have a few things to say, if I put myself to it.

  • Speaking of him, I have the goal of someday meeting and getting to know Viggo Mortensen. I would love to become good friends with him, spending hours together just talking about simply everything. Let's face it, I'd love to date the man! And of course, I hope someday he reads this and decides to grant me the realization of this dream. ;-)

  • Another goal I have is to travel to as many of the countries I'm interested in as possible. I especially want to visit these countries: France, England, Scotland, Denmark, Spain, Austria, Greece, Italy, New Zealand, Australia, Egypt (again), India, Japan, Tibet, Mexico (Teotihaucan), and Argentina, just to name a few! So, to say this is a lifetime goal may be a little of an understatement! This is a goal for a few lifetimes! I especially right now want to go to Venice and walk in places like the Rialto Bridge across the Grand Canal, the Piazza San Marco or St Marks Square. I could take the modern train right to Venice. And, if I could, I would stay in a beautiful, old palazzo (like the Hotel Violino D'Oro or Luna Hotel Baglioni or even the Hotel Gritti Palace) overlooking a canal. I want to see a sunset over Venice at least once in my lifetime! And I especially want to go during Carnivale in February someday and wear an extravagent old costume just like the rich of centuries past. How I'd love to do that!

  • I also have been working for a long time at developing my psychic abilities and inner senses. I have become quite adapt at working with energy, like with Reiki, with EFT and with my chakras. I can also do tarot readings, runes, I Ching, numerology, astrology (with software), and even use a ouija board, if I need to. ;-) I have recently realized that I would like to find a positive use for these abilities and have thus started to reach out to the world as an energy healer and new-ager. And perhaps I will expand my own abilities by helping others in this way.

  • I have always had the goal of figuring out and understanding the meaning of reality and why we are all here. I still have this goal and it has sent me on a long quest through religion, science, philosophy, the occult and metaphysics. And I will probably continue this quest for my entire life.

  • And, if I ever encounter a blue box and a man calling himself "The Doctor," you can be sure I'd "Donna" my way onto that blue box with him! ;-) I would also love to meet "The Traveller" of "Star Trek" fame, but he's just not as cute as David "Tennant" McDonald, which is what my Doctor would look like, lol.

  • Ideally, all these above goals would happen, and soon! I would have designed and maybe even help built the house of my dreams. We would live in our castle too. We'd have horses and other pets. And we would live off the money I earn doing things I love involving writing poetry, writing new-age books, taking photos, working with computers and, of course, directing movies! ;-) Do you think "The Secret" can help me achieve all of these goals!? If so, then maybe we will get some of the best of these goals and dreams to come true...
